Mytips.id, NEWS - Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has successfully leased its tanker ship, MT Gamsunoro, to Aramco Trading Company (ATC) for a one-year contract.

This lease agreement was facilitated through PIS's subsidiary in Singapore, Pertamina International Shipping Pte Ltd (PIS Pte Ltd). As we all know, Aramco is currently the largest energy producer in the world.

Therefore, this contract is a significant achievement for PIS, further showcasing its exponential business growth on a global scale.

The MT Gamsunoro will embark on a charter route from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea and onwards to Asia. The inaugural loading will take place at the Al Jubail Terminal from 13th to 15th December 2021, with a discharge point at the Ash Shuqaiq Terminal.

The shipping duration is expected to be around 90 days. It is worth noting that this voyage will traverse the Red Sea, which is a new route for PIS.

Flagged under Indonesia, the MT Gamsunoro is managed by PIS itself and fully crewed by 100% Indonesian personnel.

This is a testament to PIS's commitment to nationalizing the maritime industry and promoting local talents.

Prior to this contract, the MT Gamsunoro had also earned the trust of Trafigura, one of the world's top five biggest oil trading companies.

This collaboration between PIS, through PIS Pte Ltd, and Aramco Trading Company marks a new milestone and significant achievement in PIS's efforts to develop the international market and establish itself as the leading shipping company in Asia.
