Mytips.id - Meta Platforms Inc. has addressed the concerns regarding the recent outage on Instagram and Facebook via a statement on Twitter this evening, Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Observations from X, previously known as Twitter, revealed that the hashtags #instagramdown and #facebookdown quickly gained traction, with posts reaching 206,000 and 198,000 respectively.

Andy Stone, spokesperson for Meta Platforms Inc, has acknowledged the system failure on Facebook and Instagram. He reassured users that the relevant team is diligently working to rectify the situation.

In a tweet from his personal account @andymstone, he stated, "We're aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now."

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, weighed in on the issue by highlighting that Twitter's servers remained operational while Instagram and Facebook were experiencing downtime. "If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working," Musk shared on his official account @elonmusk.

X also acknowledged the surge in users turning to their platform during the outage, stating, "we know why you're all here rn," on Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Numerous Indonesian netizens reported difficulties logging into their Facebook accounts, even after entering the correct credentials.

Some users raised concerns about potential hacking incidents due to the system failure. In addition, frustration mounted over slow internet speeds exacerbating the situation for users.
